Bachelor of Science Program
The Medical University believes that a strong, well-rounded education is essential for all students. Therefore, it has established the following general education course requirements for the Bachelor of Science Degree that includes a common core of knowledge based subjects. This degree program is primarily designed for students already enrolled in the M.D. program, who meet the following degree requirements:

Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, students must have already earned a minimum of 90 semester-credit hours from an accredited resident, senior level institution or from a two-year college. The total of 120 semester hours required to complete the B.S. degree may be combined with the pre-medical coursework and/or courses taken in the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program on Nevis.

Residency Requirement for the B.S. Degree
All students must be enrolled full-time for a minimum of one academic year on Nevis. Courses taken in the Basic Science program and/or pre-medical program may be added to the 90 semester hours taken at other institutions to meet the 120 semester hour degree requirement. Credit will not be accepted for courses with a grade below C (2.0).

Requirements for the Bachelor of Science Degree
All students completing the Bachelor of Science degree at the Medical University must have a total of 120 semester hours with a GPA of at least 2.0, and have been in residence on Nevis for a minimum of 1 academic year. Official transcripts from all institutions attended must be in the student's permanent file.

The following subject areas represent the core general education requirements for the program. Any modifications to these courses must be approved by the Dean of Basic Sciences.
