Evolving Curriculum
Medical education, globally, now emphasizes greater integration between the basic and clinical sciences portions of the medical school curriculum. At MUA, case-based learning and clinical skills development are a prominent part of the Basic Sciences curriculum. Learning objectives from different courses during the first five semesters are integrated in both a horizontal and vertical manner. This gives students the opportunity to maintain perspective on critical learning objectives and allows faculty to evaluate students based on patient-centered competencies, rather than just their medical knowledge.
Clinical Experience
In addition to integrating more clinical experience into the first five semesters, MUA is also focused on extending its wide range of affiliations with teaching hospitals in the U.S. and Canada where our students complete their clinical rotations.
Campus Learning Facilities
MUA continually invests in its campus and is committed to implementing the latest instructional technologies and information systems. Recent years have seen significant campus expansion, including new buildings and the addition of faculty and administrative resources.
