Pets
Nevis is considered a "rabies-free" island. Because of that, there are many rules and regulations surrounding the bringing of pets onto the island. All dogs and cats brought onto Nevis from countries which have rabies, including Canada and the US, are subject to a six-month detention and isolation (quarantine). An alternative 30-day home confinement may be arranged provided certain pre-arrival conditions have been met and all import permits have been acquired.

If you would like further information about the necessary means to bring a pet onto Nevis, please contact the US administrative office. However, please be aware that the import process is costly and takes a long time.
