He has written extensively in the field of Orthopaedics with over 50 publications, and is currently applying for a research grant to educate residents on augmented reality/virtual reality as a way to save on costs in the operating room. His contributions have led him to become a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty, Journal of Hip Surgery, and Journal of Knee Surgery

A recent collaboration with Maimonides Medical Center and Duke University demonstrated outcomes of patients with Paget's Disease undergoing hip replacements was published in a weekly orthopaedics newsletter

Dr. Vakharia wishes to pursue a fellowship in adult reconstruction implementing robotic-technology to aid in total knee and total hip replacements, and pursue an academician role of being in private practice and continue basic science and clinical-based research.
