The MUA – UNF Pathway has been designed to develop knowledge and clinical skills while allowing you to experience diverse healthcare systems.

Begin medical school with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (BSc) at the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF). Transition to Nevis to join your classmates and start your path towards a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the Medical University of the Americas (MUA).

The MUA – UNF Pathway has been designed to develop knowledge and clinical skills while allowing you to experience diverse healthcare systems and practice medicine with a global perspective. The pre-medical courses offered at UNF are equivalent to those delivered at MUA but allow students to start at home in their first year.

Eligibility for the MUA – UNF Pathway

Attain a GPA of 3.0 or higher upon completing your BSc degree at the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) .

The Medical University of the Americas School of Medicine Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program provides a solid foundation for success in medicine. Divided into Basic Sciences and Clinical Training phases, our curriculum offers:

  • Basic Sciences (Year 2): Immerse yourself in traditional lectures, lab sessions, and case-based learning exercises in Nevis. Prepare for the USMLE Step 1 exam with personalized academic support from our clinical staff.
  • Clinical Training (Years 3 & 4): Gain hands-on experience at MUA-affiliated teaching hospitals and clinics across the US and Canada through bedside teaching, lectures, and directed study.
