Pre-Medical Program Costs

MUA pre-med and MD program costs are designed to make medical education accessible for all those who are passionate about care.

The number of years you spend completing pre-med studies depends on the educational pathway you take. If you decide to complete an undergraduate degree in a science-based field, you will spend four years in post-secondary studies prior to entering medical school. If you plan to enter medical school directly out of secondary school, you can choose a program such as MUA’s 6-Year BSc/MD Program and spend two years in pre-med studies. If you choose our 5-Year BSc/MD Program, you will spend one year in the pre-medical program.

Through MUA’s 5-Year and 6-Year BSc/MD Programs, you can complete your pre-medical education while already in medical school. However, you cannot directly enter our MD program without completing the necessary pre-medical educational requirements, either in a 4-year undergraduate program or our pre-med pathways.

Yes, you can complete two years of pre-med studies in our 6-Year BSc/MD Program, which is designed for students who plan to enter medical school directly out of secondary school. These students skip their undergraduate studies entirely and save significant time and money on their MD career journey.

Yes, pre-med students work hard to develop the knowledge, skills and study habits necessary to succeed in the rigorous 4-year MD program. Luckily, the program is designed to support their journey and our dedicated faculty members know exactly what students need to learn and develop in order to succeed.
