Medical University of the Americas (MUA) is proud to announce our recent partnership with Clinic 207, a new Family Medicine elective rotation site in Ottawa, Ontario, that will provide more options for students in our MD program.

This collaboration demonstrates our focus on providing impactful Clinical Medicine rotation experiences and fostering success in primary care education.

Through this partnership, MD participants will gain exposure to a range of family medicine practical training, including preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care and patient counseling. Their on-site experience will also be enriched by Ottawa’s diverse healthcare community and extensive patient population, further developing both their hands-on skills and cultural understanding.

“We are delighted to welcome Clinic 207 as our newest Family Medicine elective site in Canada,” said Chuck Furey, Vice President of Business Development, Government Relations and Canadian Admissions for MUA. “This partnership not only strengthens our presence in Ottawa but also provides our students with invaluable hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.”

Beneficially, the team of experienced family physicians at Clinic 207 will teach and train students from MUA, as well as our fellow GUS Medical & Veterinary Schools institutions, Saba University School of Medicine and St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine.

With the addition of this new site, our MD program now offers 10 elective rotation location options across Canada.
