Epic Global Education Partnership Agreement
Medical education collaboration benefits aspiring physicians in Ontario.
Medical University of the Americas (MUA) and Epic Global Education Inc. (EGE), a parent company in Mississauga that manages institutions who grant the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, are pleased to share their new partnership agreement. This pathway will provide eligible EGE graduates who have completed Grade 12 with direct entry* into MUA’s 6-Year BSc/MD Program. Excitingly, participants who successfully complete this educational journey will earn both a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Science degree and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree!
The EGE associated entities:
- Canadian International Secondary School (CISS)
- First Canadian International School (FCIS)
EGE students who have successfully earned their secondary diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale (or equivalent), and met all related admissions requirements, are eligible for this pathway. Associated benefits for participants include a guaranteed admissions interview, individualized support, and excitingly, the ability to save significant time and money as they bypass undergraduate studies. When compared to the traditional four years of undergrad studies leading into four years of medical school pathway, this partnership makes the journey to becoming a Doctor of Medicine notably accessible and affordable. Especially when considering MUA’s cost-effective tuition and fee rates!
“We’re very happy to be partnering with Epic Global! Together, we’re working to shape the future of healthcare by providing students with the opportunity to pursue their dreams of becoming practicing medical doctors,” said Dr. Dona Rimanishta, Partnerships Coordinator for MUA. “Through this collaboration, students from Epic Global schools will have a clear pathway to MUA’s medical program, helping them take the next step towards a meaningful career in medicine.”
MUA MD program students benefit greatly from our comprehensive medical education, commitment to hands-on learning, modern Basic Science campus facilities and clinical rotations in the U.S. (core and electives) and Canada (electives only). Additionally, our Student Support Services help ensure that participants receive the tools and resources needed to achieve academic and personal success, with help available from day one through graduation. We look forward to welcoming EGE students to campus and seeing everything they will achieve in medicine!
*To receive direct entry, EGE associated graduates must submit an application, submit high school degree graduation diploma and transcripts, satisfactorily complete an interview with the MUA admissions team, provide two letters of recommendation and a personal statement.
