New partnership with Canadian institution enhances medical school opportunities for aspiring physicians.
Medical University of the Americas (MUA) and Ruhani College of Health, Business and Technology (Ruhani), an educational institution in Canada that helps prepare students for successful careers in healthcare, are proud to highlight their impactful collaboration in support of future physicians.
As part of this new pathway to medical school, Ruhani graduates who have successfully completed the Pre-Med Program and maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (75%) will gain direct entry* into MUA’s 4-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Benefits for successful pathway students include a streamlined admissions process that saves time and money applying to multiple med schools, a guaranteed admissions interview, application support from the MUA team, and the ability to qualify for up to $32,500 CAD in grants and scholarships!
Om Prakash Verma, Director, Ruhani College, shared: “Partnering with Medical University of the Americas strengthens our mission of creating clear, high-quality medical pathways for students. With our Pre-Med Program saving students nearly four years on their journey to becoming doctors, we are opening doors to world-class medical education and lifelong career success.”
“We are delighted to form this new partnership with Ruhani College, uniting our shared mission to elevate academic success, broaden global opportunities and support future leaders in healthcare,” added Sucharitha Konda, Business Development Coordinator for MUA.
MUA provides a financially accessible medical education that helps aspiring medical doctors achieve their dreams. Through comprehensive classroom instruction, early hands-on learning, individualized support from dedicated faculty and extensive student services, MD program participants go on to attain strong USMLE and residency placement results. They benefit greatly from the safety and serenity of our island home during Basic Science (semesters 1-5), and the expansive in-person Clinical Medicine training they receive during rotations in the U.S. (core and electives) and Canada (select electives). Our Doctors of Medicine then go on to practice in North America and internationally.
*To receive direct entry, Ruhani graduates must submit an application, share relevant academic transcripts, satisfactorily complete an interview with the MUA admissions team, provide two letters of recommendation and write a personal statement (500 words max.).
