Medical University of the Americas (MUA) and Erasmus University College (EUC), a public education institution in the Netherlands that offers an interdisciplinary Liberal Arts & Sciences degree to its international student base, are pleased to highlight the details of a new partnership that will benefit future medical doctors.
As part of this collaboration, EUC alumni who have completed the Pre-Med major, and maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (75%), can gain direct entry* into MUA’s 4-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Eligible EUC alumni who wish to attend MUA will also benefit from a streamlined application process, individualized support, a guaranteed admissions interview, and the possibility of receiving up to $27,500 USD in financial support!
Cornelis Vink, Acting Academic Director and Head of Department Life Sciences of EUC shared: “We’re excited to partner with Medical University of the Americas, offering our Pre-Med major students a seamless pathway into MUA’s prestigious 4-year MD program and empowering the next generation of physicians to launch global medical careers in the U.S., Canada and beyond.”
Sucharitha Konda, Business Development Coordinator for MUA, shared: “We are pleased to announce our partnership with Erasmus University College in Rotterdam, a distinguished institution known for its commitment to academic excellence and innovative learning, creating new opportunities for our students to thrive on a global stage.”
Founded in 1998 on the island of Nevis, MUA proudly fosters a supportive learning environment where 1,800+ students have achieved their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees. During the 10-semester MD program, successful students will experience five semesters of classroom and lab-based learning on our Nevis campus, followed by five semesters of clinical rotations at affiliated teaching hospitals, clinics and medical centers in the U.S. and Canada. Our MD program accreditor, the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM), is recognized by the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME). MUA medical doctors practice in the U.S., Canada and internationally.
Excitingly, this agreement has been established between Erasmus University College and all three GUS Medical Schools – Saba University School of Medicine, Medical University of the Americas and St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine.
*To receive direct entry, EUC graduates must submit an application, share relevant academic transcripts, satisfactorily complete an interview with the MUA admissions team, provide two letters of recommendation and write a personal statement (500 words max.).
