Medical University of the Americas is excited to share that Mamata Srinivasan, MBBS, MD, a Professor and Course Director in our Anatomical Sciences department, is a recipient of the 2025 AMWA INSPIRE Award!

Awarded by the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), this honor celebrates accomplished women who exemplify the highest values in vision, integrity, service, and collaboration in medicine and healthcare.

Reflecting on this achievement and her own experience, Dr. Srinivasan shared this word of advice for all those currently pursuing their own dreams: “Buried beneath one’s strength is the ability to hold it all together. Find your interest and maintain focus to get to where you want to be.”

Dr. Srinivasan is one of 47 recipients in 2025 who provided inspiration to other physicians or students through expert, compassionate and patient-oriented medical care, professional mentorship or service to the community.

Congratulations to Dr. Srinivasan on this notable achievement, as well as all the other recipients! Each has had a deeply positive impact as a woman in medicine.

We would also like to thank the AMWA for recognizing such an important member of our learning community, and all those who work together every day to make MUA such a special place.
