TAG Saber Group Partnership Agreement

This unique international medical school pathway agreement benefits aspiring physicians in New York, United States.

Medical University of the Americas (MUA) and TAG Saber Group Inc. (TAG), an educational organization in New York that operates a network of secondary schools, have established a new partnership that will provide aspiring medical doctors in Grade 12 with the opportunity to enter MUA’s 6-Year BSc/MD Program after graduating. Excitingly, once TAG students complete the pre-med portion of the program (two years) at MUA (either online or in-person on campus), they will have the opportunity to transition into the MD program at any of our GUS Medical Schools – Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM), Medical University of the Americas or St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine (SMUSOM).

As part of this agreement, pathway participants who have successfully earned their High School Diploma and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4-point scale (or equivalent) will receive direct-entry* into the 6-Year BSc/MD Program (six pre-med semesters, followed by 10 semesters in an MD program). Beneficially, successful students will earn both a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Science degree and a medical degree, and save significant time and money along the way by avoiding the requirements of pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree!

“TAG Saber Group is excited to work with these incredible schools (SUSOM, MUA, SMUSOM) to give aspiring future physicians a head start and the unwavering support they deserve every step of the way,” highlighted Dr. Z. Saber Attia, TAG Saber Group Inc.

“We’re excited to launch our new partnership with TAG Saber, a dynamic organization empowering students across its network of U.S. schools,” shared Dr. Dona Rimanishta, Partnerships Coordinator for MUA. “Together, we’re creating new opportunities for aspiring doctors to begin their medical journeys.”

Aspiring physicians who attend MUA benefit from individualized support from dedicated faculty members, comprehensive medical education and hands-on training, extensive learning spaces within our Basic Science campus on Nevis, and clinical rotations in the U.S. (core and electives) and Canada (electives only). Our easily-accessible student services also help students quickly acclimate to the demands of medical school and develop the skills needed to achieve academic success. We look forward to helping TAG students become the physicians they dream of being!

*To receive direct entry, TAG graduates must submit an application, submit high school degree graduation diploma and transcripts, satisfactorily complete an interview with the MUA admissions team, provide two letters of recommendation and share a personal statement.
